Cropping

You may have a piece of water which is over stocked, and so causing problems with stunted fish or lack of available oxygen for them in the summer months. We can crop your waters and take out the size or type of fish you wish to reduce, and then purchase these fish from you. This service is a good management tool for mainitaining healthy fish in a pond and generating an income from unwanted fish for you every three to four years. 

Many people ask us to crop their waters in this way purely as a form of income every few years, such as farmers. Whilst other customers need us to carry out this operation in order to maintain the correct stocking levels of particular sizes of fish, for example in lakes used for match fishing.

This operational cost is off-set against the price paid for the fish cropped from the waters. We can talk these prices through with you before we undertake any cropping on your behalf.
